Event verification

Before an event listing goes live, the organiser must submit details of the authority or body that has approved the event — such as a council permit, venue confirmation, or relevant regulatory approval. Our team reviews this information before the listing is activated.

This process exists to protect attendees. We want everyone who finds an event on this platform to be confident that the event is genuine, properly authorised, and worth their time and money.

Verification is reviewed within 2 business days. If your submission is rejected, you will receive specific feedback explaining why and what is needed to resubmit.

Commercial listing standards

All paid listings — events, vendor directory entries, and employment listings — must represent genuine businesses and genuine opportunities. We do not allow:

• Misleading or false information about a business or event
• Listings for businesses that do not exist or are not operating
• Duplicate listings for the same business or event
• Content that violates Australian consumer law
• Listings that are primarily designed to collect personal data

Listings that violate these standards will be removed without refund. Repeat violations may result in account suspension.

Community moderation

All community content — forum posts, feedback, noticeboard notices — is subject to moderation. Users can report content they believe violates community standards. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team and actioned within a reasonable timeframe.

Content may be removed for the following reasons:

• Spam or promotional content posted without authorisation
• Harassment, abuse, or targeted attacks on individuals
• Hate speech or discriminatory content
• Misinformation that could cause harm
• Illegal content of any kind

Moderation decisions are made by humans, not automated systems. If you believe your content was removed in error, contact us using the details below.

Reporting a problem

If you see something on the platform that concerns you — a suspicious listing, inappropriate content, or a business that appears to be misrepresenting itself — please use the report function on the relevant post or listing. Reports go directly to our moderation team.
